Campus Ministry

The mission of Asian American Christian Fellowship (AACF) is to reach into the university and collegiate community, primarily to those who are Asian Pacific Americans, with the life-changing message of Jesus Christ. AACF is committed to making disciples by educating and equipping students in biblical foundations, Christian disciplines, and the development of spiritual gifts in order to prepare them for witness and service on the campus, in the local church, in the marketplace, and in world missions.

When I was a student at UW I attended AACF and for the first time in my life I got to know what it was like to live out my faith in the every day. College is truly a transformative time in a person's spiritual walk and it is my pleasure to be working alongside students as a campus minister. As a campus minister we work alongside students to accomplish the mission of AACF. One of the cool distinctives of AACF is that it is primarily run by the students. This means that they get to learn how to run the ministry from the ground up. We as staff walk alongside them, equipping them, giving them confidence and reminding them of the purpose of why we serve. One of the greatest pleasures as a campus minister is when you see students realize a simple fact. That they can do it. That really they can do anything through Christ who gives them strength. In my role I often meet up with students one-on-one and just listening to their stories and helping them see God more in their lives is amazing. God has been so good to this ministry and this year UW's campus celebrates 40 years of continuous ministry. Another cool thing that God has given me the pleasure to be a part of is the start of a new campus in Seattle Pacific University. God is good, all the time. All the time, God is good.
